  • Here’s a design I did awhile back- swipe to see the process from sketch to print. Yes I use the computer as part of my process - it’s a tool in my quiver and essential to my workflow. I can still pick up a pencil and draw, but I can also work up a design, color separate it, and send it to a client that is across the country from me. Artists should never discount someone else’s desired workflow as ‘wrong’ just because it’s different than their own.

  • The only art that is 'mine' that is hanging up at home is this custom skateboard that I designed for a friend's skate line years ago. I feel weird about having myself surrounded by my own work, I prefer to hang art by people that inspire me - sitting here at my desk (it's glorious, I work in my dining room) I can see art from: @artofcoop @maxgrundydesign @tmooregraphics @brianewing @problemchildkustoms @larrygardinier @davidlozeau @artboytidwell
  • Some Throwback Thursday for you - Here's a custom 'River Hauler' Dodge Motorhome concept that I illustrated for @truckinmagazine some years back. Just enough sleeping room for a couple & their PBR, but with a custom bed added for their water toys. Laid out with a built-up Cummins-Powered drivetrain, of course. Money is no object with imaginary builds! Swipe to see my inspiration- love those old ads!
  • Some Forest Service Green for your St. Patty's Day - Back in 2005 my friend Courtney Halowell asked if I'd create a series of renderings for @streettrucks magazine - of course I said yes! I've always wanted a truck painted in this iconic color, and I dreamt up my 'dream dually' - bagged, FSG paint, wood paneling, 1/4 shell w/ wing, some chrome bits left, and a modern LS-based drivetrain. Who would have thought that this old school style would become all the rage again? Rest in Peace, Courtney - lots of people still miss you terribly!
  • Mermaid Monday! Drawn for Flagship Restaurant in Pismo Beach, CA. Line work in Illustrator, and then colored her as spot channels in Photoshop - she's a 10 color print on dark garments.
  • Admittedly I'm nervous about the next few weeks - I have family that is older and in that 'risk zone', I have kids that are now out of school for a MONTH, and I have friends that will be affected financially by what's going on. I worry about the poor seniors who can hardly get their shopping done on a normal day, let alone when people are acting like panicked monkeys. Decided to take on a 'draw this in your style' prompt to turn off the anxiety for a bit and shed a little light and fun on the situation. Try to be thoughtful and decent humans please.
